As an engineering intern at Gamebreaking Studios, you’ll get the opportunity to grow your game development skills in a passionate and highly collaborative environment. We’re looking for someone passionate about games to use their engineering skills to make an impact on a diverse array of game features!
In this internship, you’ll be primarily working on our Dungeon Rampage game! It’s a revival of a popular hack and slash flash game, engineered for Steam with some new improvements. On the Dungeon Rampage team, you’ll have the opportunity to touch many pieces of the Dungeon Rampage code base, from the backend to the frontend. Your contributions will directly impact the happiness of our players!

Desired Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for games and entertainment that shows. Whether you love video games, board games, cosplay, or freeze tag.
- 2+ years of programming experience (academic or demonstrable personal projects are acceptable)
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
- Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a university Computer Science program or an equivalent program.
- Experience working in a game engine such as Unity, Unreal, or Godot (hobbyist and academic projects are acceptable)
- Experience using version control software (git, perforce, etc.)
- Self-motivated and willing to work in multiple areas of game development
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Pluses
- Worked on a code base with 3 or more engineers
- Experience working with Unreal Engine or C++
- Any showable game projects, or portfolios of your work
Your responsibilities
- Delivering and maintaining key features for our engaged and dedicated fan base!
- Develop and maintain features writing in ActionScript, C++, C#, and/or PHP.
- Show strong initiative when planning and executing your tasks.
- Clearly communicate progress on tickets with other team members
- Regularly contribute to team meetings and rituals.
- Speak up and improve our company culture where possible!
